Sky Real Lives HD broadcasts the same schedule as the standard definition channel, Sky Real Lives. Content is broadcast in high definition where available, or is upscaled where it is not available in high definition.

Broadcasting at a higher bitrate, the picture quality of even upscaled content is improved when compared to the standard definition channel.

Sky Real Lives HD is a subscription channel, which means that it is encrypted and is only available on a Sky HD box with a viewing card that has the HD Pack/Mix enabled. Sky Real Lives HD is included in the HD Pack/Mix (currently charged at £10 per month) and you do not need to subscribe to Sky Real Lives to be able to get Sky Real Lives HD.
