How to watch National Geographic Channel HD

National Geographic Channel HD is a subscription channel, which means that it is encrypted and is only available on a Sky HD box with a viewing card that has the HD Pack enabled. National Geographic Channel HD is included in the HD Pack (currently charged at £10 per month) when you also subscribe to the Knowledge Pack.

History of National Geographic Channel HD

National Geographic Channel HD launched at the launch of Sky HD in May 2006.

Around the 5th October 2010, National Geographic Channel HD was changed to require a subscription to the HD Pack and the Knowledge Pack.

On the 1st February 2011, National Geographic Channel HD moved to channel 526 from 543 as part of the HD Swap
