FX HD
FX HD is a simulcast high definition channel from Fox. It broadcasts the HD content from their FX channel from 7pm to late night.FX HD broadcasts the same schedule as the standard definition channel FX UK, but only broadcasts from 7pm onwards.
How to watch FX HD
FX HD is a subscription channel, which means that it is encrypted and is only available on a Sky HD box with a viewing card that has the HD Pack/Mix enabled. FX HD is included in the HD Pack/Mix (currently charged at £10 per month) and you do not need to subscribe to FX to be able to get FX HD.You will find FX HD on Sky Guide Channel 193.
History of FX HD
FX HD launched on 28th April 2008.At launch, it was announced that FX HD would have no commercial breaks. At this point, FX HD was a dedicated HD Channel, which only broadcast HD Content.
On Friday 24th April 2009, FX HD changed from a dedicated HD channel without commercial breaks into a simulcast channel with its FX UK channel. This move introduced commercial breaks on the channel for the first time, and the possiblity of upscaled content as well as HD content.
