Comedy Central HD
Comedy Central HD is a high definition simulcast channel from Paramount British Pictures/British Sky Broadcasting partnership.Comedy Central HD broadcasts the same schedule as the standard definition channel, Comedy Central. Content is broadcast in high definition where available, or is upscaled where it is not available in high definition.
Broadcasting at a higher bitrate, the picture quality of even upscaled content is improved when compared to the standard definition channel.
How to watch Comedy Central HD
Comedy Central HD is a subscription channel, which means that it is encrypted and is only available on a Sky HD box with a viewing card that has the HD Pack enabled. Comedy Central HD is included in the HD Pack (currently charged at £10 per month) when you also subscribe to the Variety Pack.You will find Comedy Central HD on Sky Guide Channel 112.
History of Comedy Central HD
Comedy Central HD launched on 9th August 2010 on Sky Digital.Around the 5th October 2010, Comedy Central HD was changed to require a subscription to the HD Pack and the Variety Pack.
On the 1st February 2011, Comedy Central HD moved to channel 112 from 222 as part of the HD Swap
